Do all therapists offer direct billing?

At Renew Resilience Counselling, we know that reaching out for support takes courage — and navigating the financial side of therapy shouldn’t make it harder.
That’s why we’re now offering direct billing for counselling and psychotherapy services, to make your path to healing just a little bit easier.
Because your energy should go toward feeling better, not filling out forms.
Payment Methods and Direct Billing
At Renew Resilience Counselling, I strive to make therapy as accessible as possible. Therefore, I am pleased to offer direct billing to the following insurance providers: Coughlin, Manulife, CanadaLife, Blue Cross, and Veteran Affairs Canada. If you don't see your insurance provider listed, please inquire and I can double check! I also provide detailed receipts for you to submit to your insurance provider independently. I recommend checking your insurance coverage to ensure you understand what services are eligible for reimbursement. Other methods of payment accepted are Interac e-Transfer, but if necessary, I can also accommodate credit card payments. If you have any questions about this feel free to reach out!
Insurance
Depending on your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, it is possible for services to be covered in full or in part. Please contact your provider to verify how your plan compensates you for psychotherapy services.
I’d recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:
- Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
- Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
- Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
- Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?
Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you may be charged for the full rate of the session.
